Popular Nigerian pastor and relationship coach, Kingsley Okonkwo, has sparked widespread debate after revealing a Bible-inspired tattoo on his arm and asserting that the scriptures do not forbid Christians from having tattoos.

The tattoo, which features the inscription “3:16” — referencing the well-known verse John 3:16 — was shared by the pastor on social media, quickly attracting attention and mixed reactions. In response to the controversy, Okonkwo stated:There’s no scripture that says a child of God cannot have tattoos.

The pastor emphasized that much of the criticism stems from personal opinions or church traditions rather than explicit biblical instructions.
