Iran Ready To Help Nigeria Combat Terrorism, Says Ambassador.

Iran has expressed readiness to support Nigeria in its fight against terrorism. The Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria, Gholamreza Raja, said Tehran is willing to share intelligence, training, and counter-terrorism experience with Nigerian authorities.

According to the envoy, Iran has developed strategies and operational experience in dealing with extremist groups in the Middle East. He noted that such expertise could help Nigeria strengthen its security response against insurgency and banditry affecting several parts of the country.

Nigeria has faced persistent security challenges from armed groups such as Boko Haram, ISWAP, and bandit gangs in the north. Security analysts say international cooperation could improve intelligence sharing and strengthen Nigeria’s counter-terrorism operations.
