Nigeria Seeks Regional Cooperation Against Bomb Threats

Nigeria has urged countries in the Sahel and West Africa to collaborate more closely in tackling the rising threat of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used by terrorist groups. 

Security experts say extremist groups are increasingly using roadside bombs and other explosive devices in attacks against military personnel and civilians. 

The Nigerian government believes stronger intelligence sharing among neighboring countries could help prevent such attacks.

Authorities say the initiative is part of broader regional security efforts to curb terrorism and insurgency across West Africa.
