Nigeria’s Power Generation Update

Nigeria’s electricity regulator reported that grid-connected power plants produced an average of about 4,102 megawatt-hours of electricity in February. 

The data shows the country’s ongoing struggle to meet rising electricity demand despite improvements in generation capacity.

Energy analysts say Nigeria still faces major challenges such as weak distribution networks and gas supply problems, which limit stable electricity delivery nationwide.
