Anthony Joshua Pays His Final Respect To His Friends As Their Remains Are Being Repatriated To UK After Tragic Accident In Ogun State

Joshua was visibly emotional during the visit, spending time in quiet reflection as arrangements were concluded for the repatriation of the bodies to the UK for burial.
The tragic accident occurred around 11:00 am on Monday after a vehicle in Joshua’s convoy collided with a stationary truck near Makun area, close to the Sagamu interchange in Ogun state.

Joshua had sustained injuries in the same incident and was hospitalized for treatment at Lagoon Hospital, Ikoyi, before being discharged after medical doctors confirmed he was clinically stable and fit to continue his recovery at home.
The remains of the deceased were repatriated to the UK on Thursday, where funeral arrangements are expected to be finalized by their families.

The Ogun state police command has arrested Kayode Adeniyi, the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the fatal road accident.
Adeniyi, who was discharged on Wednesday, has been a long-standing member of Anthony Joshua’s logistics team whenever the boxer visits Nigeria.
