Nigeria Falls to Morocco in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Semi-Final

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were eliminated from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a gripping match against Morocco ended in a penalty shootout.
Regular time and extra time (120 minutes) finished 0–0 despite several chances from both sides
In the penalty shootout, Morocco prevailed 4–2, with Nigerian attempts by Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi saved or missed. 
Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was pivotal, making key saves to secure the win.
Nigeria’s star striker Victor Osimhen was subbed off before the shootout, a decision that drew scrutiny. 
The loss means Nigeria will play Egypt in the third-place match, while Morocco advances to face Senegal in the final. 
This defeat ends Nigeria’s title ambitions but keeps them in contention for a continental medal.

BREAKING: Anthony Joshua Involved In Road Crash In Nigeria. Two Lives Lost.

  British Nigerian boxer and former heavyweight champion,  Anthony Joshua   was involved in a road accident on Monday 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria  Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos commissioner for information, said the crash occurred around the Shagamu interchange area of the highway. He added that the Lagos state government promptly deployed an ambulance to the scene. The Lexus SUV in which the British Nigerian boxer was said to have crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. Two people driving with him in the car died on the spot according to eye witness. AJ was said to have survived with minor injuries.
