Sheikh Ahmad Gumi Urges Venezuela To Adopt Islam After it's President Was Captured By U.S.A

Controversial Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has reacted after the capture of Venezuelan President by the USA.
It will be recalled that President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that U.S. troops had apprehended Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro following what he described as a “large-scale strike” on the South American nation.
The surprising declaration comes after months of increasing U.S. military and economic pressure on the leftist leader and Venezuela’s oil-dependent economy.
In a post on Facebook on 3rd January 2026, he said that Venezuelans should adopt Islam, stating that it would give them the moral rectitude to leave drugs and the courage to repel the imperial subjugation. He further stated that Islam remains the only force that is a substitute for the current world’s injustice and hypocrisy.
He wrote, “Venezuelans should adopt Islam. That will give them the moral rectitude to leave drugs, and the courage to repel the Devil and imperial subjugation. Islam remains the only force that is a substitute for the current world’s injustice and hypocrisy.”

  British Nigerian boxer and former heavyweight champion,  Anthony Joshua   was involved in a road accident on Monday 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria  Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos commissioner for information, said the crash occurred around the Shagamu interchange area of the highway. He added that the Lagos state government promptly deployed an ambulance to the scene. The Lexus SUV in which the British Nigerian boxer was said to have crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. Two people driving with him in the car died on the spot according to eye witness. AJ was said to have survived with minor injuries.
