Two sisters were among 29 people who d!ed in a boat mishap in Nguru Local Government Area of Yobe StateThe incident occurred at about 7:48 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2025 when the canoe carrying 52 passengers capsized while travelling from Adiyani town in Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa State to Garbi town in Nguru LGA, Yobe State.The victims’ uncle, Kyari Garkuwa Nguru, who confirmed the sad news said his sister, the girls’ mother, was among those rescued and is currently hospitalised.

BREAKING: Anthony Joshua Involved In Road Crash In Nigeria. Two Lives Lost.

  British Nigerian boxer and former heavyweight champion,  Anthony Joshua   was involved in a road accident on Monday 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria  Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos commissioner for information, said the crash occurred around the Shagamu interchange area of the highway. He added that the Lagos state government promptly deployed an ambulance to the scene. The Lexus SUV in which the British Nigerian boxer was said to have crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. Two people driving with him in the car died on the spot according to eye witness. AJ was said to have survived with minor injuries.
