DELAY IS NOT DENIAL
Amina had always dreamed of becoming a software engineer at a top tech company. Fresh out of college, she applied to several major firms but faced rejection after rejection. Each “no” felt like a door closing, and she started doubting her abilities.
Instead of giving up, Amina decided to keep learning. She took online courses, contributed to open-source projects, and built her own apps in her free time. Friends around her were landing jobs quickly, and she often wondered if she’d ever reach her goal.
Two years later, her persistence paid off. A major tech company noticed one of her apps and offered her an interview. She impressed them with both her skills and her portfolio. That “no” she had received years earlier wasn’t a denial—it was a delay, giving her the time to grow and prepare so that when the right opportunity came, she was ready.
Moral: Rejections and waiting periods don’t mean failure. Sometimes the delay is giving you exactly what you need to succeed when the time is right.
