Federal Government Moves to Stabilise Food Prices


The Federal Government has announced fresh measures aimed at stabilising food prices across the country following months of rising inflation. Officials say the plan includes increased support for farmers, improved transportation of agricultural produce, and stronger monitoring of food supply chains.


Agriculture authorities stated that the government is also working to expand storage facilities to reduce post-harvest losses. The initiative is expected to help maintain steady supplies of staple foods such as rice, maize, and beans.


Economic analysts say the measures could ease pressure on households if implemented effectively, especially as many Nigerians continue to struggle with the high cost of living.

BREAKING: Anthony Joshua Involved In Road Crash In Nigeria. Two Lives Lost.

  British Nigerian boxer and former heavyweight champion,  Anthony Joshua   was involved in a road accident on Monday 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria  Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos commissioner for information, said the crash occurred around the Shagamu interchange area of the highway. He added that the Lagos state government promptly deployed an ambulance to the scene. The Lexus SUV in which the British Nigerian boxer was said to have crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. Two people driving with him in the car died on the spot according to eye witness. AJ was said to have survived with minor injuries.
