Iran Strikes Israel, US Bases After Khamenei’s Death.

Iran has launched a new wave of missile and drone strikes on US military bases in the region and Israel, in retaliation for the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The strikes targeted 27 US bases, including those in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq, as well as Israel's military headquarters and a defence industries complex in Tel Aviv.

Khamenei's death has sparked intense speculation on succession, with the Revolutionary Guards expected to play a significant role. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and other top officials will lead the country during the transitional period.

The situation is escalating, with Trump threatening further strikes if Iran retaliates. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged Iranians to overthrow their government.

The conflict has caused widespread disruptions, including airspace closures and flight cancellations.
