Trump Revels in Killing of Iran’s Leaders as War Nears Two Weeks
U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked global controversy after publicly celebrating the deaths of several Iranian leaders during the ongoing U.S.–Israel military campaign against Iran. The conflict, which began on February 28, 2026, has now entered its second week and has intensified with heavy airstrikes and missile attacks across the Middle East.
According to reports, Trump described Iran’s leadership as “deranged” and said it was an honour to eliminate them during the military operation. The strikes reportedly killed key Iranian officials, including the country’s long-time Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and targeted military bases, missile systems, and command centres across Iran.
Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks against Israel and U.S.-aligned targets across the region, including in Iraq and the Gulf. The war has already caused thousands of casualties, major infrastructure damage, and massive economic shock, with oil prices climbing above $100 per barrel as shipping routes in the Gulf face disruption
