Nigeria Approves National Policy on Cosmetics Safety

Nigeria has officially adopted its first national policy aimed at strengthening the safety of cosmetics and beauty products. The World Health Organisation (WHO) praised the move and urged governments to commit resources for its implementation.

Officials say the initiative will enhance consumer protection, improve product monitoring, and align Nigeria’s health regulations with global safety standards.
