Nigerian Universities Face Funding Pressure

Several Nigerian universities have raised concerns about funding challenges affecting academic activities and infrastructure development. University administrators say rising operational costs and limited budget allocations are putting pressure on institutions.

Some vice-chancellors have called for increased government investment in education, noting that better funding is necessary to improve research facilities, laboratories, and student welfare services.

Education experts warn that without adequate financial support, universities may struggle to maintain academic standards and compete globally.
