Tinubu Embarks on UK Visit Amid Security Concerns


President Bola Tinubu has traveled to the United Kingdom for a strategic visit aimed at strengthening economic and diplomatic relations. The visit includes high-level meetings focused on investment, trade partnerships, and bilateral cooperation. 

However, the trip comes amid rising security concerns at home, particularly following the deadly Maiduguri bombings. Some political figures and opposition groups have urged the president to return to Nigeria to address the escalating crisis directly. 

The presidency has maintained that security agencies are fully engaged and capable of managing the situation, while reaffirming its commitment to combating terrorism nationwide

BREAKING: Anthony Joshua Involved In Road Crash In Nigeria. Two Lives Lost.

  British Nigerian boxer and former heavyweight champion,  Anthony Joshua   was involved in a road accident on Monday 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria  Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos commissioner for information, said the crash occurred around the Shagamu interchange area of the highway. He added that the Lagos state government promptly deployed an ambulance to the scene. The Lexus SUV in which the British Nigerian boxer was said to have crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. Two people driving with him in the car died on the spot according to eye witness. AJ was said to have survived with minor injuries.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government over reports that it approved a $9 million contract for lobbying services in the United States, describing the move as scandalous, indefensible and a reflection of misplaced priorities. In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the opposition party said the Tinubu administration was more concerned with polishing its international image than addressing Nigeria’s worsening insecurity and economic hardship.
