UN Peacekeepers Injured in South Lebanon
Several peacekeepers from Ghana serving with the United Nations mission in Lebanon were injured after their patrol convoy came under attack in southern Lebanon.
The troops are part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, which monitors the ceasefire along the border between Israel and Lebanon. Officials confirmed that the wounded peacekeepers received medical treatment and are in stable condition.
The United Nations strongly condemned the attack and called for an investigation, warning that violence against peacekeeping forces threatens regional stability and undermines international peacekeeping efforts.
