Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between green hills, there lived an old basket weaver named Ama. She was known for crafting the strongest and most beautiful baskets in the land. Every young apprentice wanted to learn her secret.

One day, a young boy named Tobi asked, "Grandmother Ama, what makes your baskets last so long?"

Instead of answering, Ama handed him two baskets. One was woven quickly and looked perfect. The other had been woven slowly, with great care, though it was not as beautiful at first glance.

She told him to carry water from the river every day using both baskets. After several days, the beautiful basket began to fall apart, while the carefully woven one remained strong.

Ama smiled and said, "People admire what shines today, but life rewards what is built with patience. Strength is hidden in the work no one applauds."

From that day on, Tobi learned that true craftsmanship—and true character—are not made in haste but through patience, care, and perseverance.
