One good turn deservers another.
In a small village, there lived a kind boy named Tunde. Tunde was known by everyone for his helpful nature. Even though his family was not rich, he always tried to help others whenever he could.
One hot afternoon, Tunde was returning home from the farm when he saw an old man sitting under a tree by the roadside. The old man looked tired and thirsty. Without hesitation, Tunde offered him the little water he had in his bottle and shared the roasted corn he carried for lunch.
The old man smiled gratefully and said, “Thank you, my son. Your kindness will not be forgotten.”
Tunde simply replied, “It is nothing, sir. Anyone would have done the same.”
A few weeks later, heavy rain fell across the village and flooded many farms. Tunde’s father’s farm was badly affected, and the family worried about how they would survive the season.
One morning, a truck arrived at their compound carrying bags of seeds, fertilizer, and food supplies. The driver told them a generous man had sent the items to help them recover their farm.
Soon after, the same old man Tunde had helped stepped out of the truck. It turned out he was a wealthy farmer who owned many farms in nearby towns.
He smiled at Tunde and said, “Your kindness that day meant a lot to me. Today, I am returning the good you did for me.”
Tunde and his family were filled with gratitude. From that day on, Tunde understood deeply that kindness never goes to waste.
