THE CUNNING TIGRESS AND HER CUBS

Deep within the Emerald Forest lived a clever tigress named Uri. She had three playful cubs who loved to chase butterflies and race through the tall grass. Every evening, Uri reminded them, “Strength is important, but wisdom will keep you alive.”

One dry season, food became scarce. A pack of wild hunters roamed the forest, setting traps and waiting for careless animals. Uri knew she had to protect her cubs.

One morning, while searching for food, she spotted fresh traps hidden beneath fallen leaves. Instead of walking around them, Uri carefully dragged fallen branches over the traps and left paw prints leading away in another direction. The hunters followed the false trail, believing a tiger family had escaped toward the rocky hills.

Meanwhile, Uri quietly led her cubs through a narrow stream. The flowing water washed away their scent and footprints. They reached a hidden valley where deer grazed peacefully and fresh water flowed all year.

The cubs asked, “Mother, why didn't you fight the hunters? You are stronger than they are.”

Uri smiled gently. “A battle avoided is often a victory won. Courage is not only about fighting—it is also about knowing when to outsmart danger.”

The cubs never forgot her lesson. As they grew into strong tigers, they relied not only on their sharp claws but also on patience, careful thinking, and wise decisions.

The hunters eventually left the forest, never realizing they had been outwitted by a tigress who understood that the greatest strength is guided by intelligence.
