Four women killed, 26 hospitalised in Adamawa auto crash
“The women are from LCCN Simra in Dunen town, Song Local Government. I was driving behind the vehicle when, all of a sudden, I saw it start somersaulting into the bush,” she said.
“Three women died on the spot, while others were lying down without breathing, their bodies covered in blood,” Prambe added.
She confirmed that the bodies of the deceased and the injured were moved to the Specialist Hospital in Yola for treatment.
Contacted on Monday, the medical director of the hospital, Dr Dauda Wadinga, said, “Please, I can’t talk now; we are treating those who were brought alive.”
The spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, Suleiman Nguroje, told our correspondent that he would provide an update after consulting the DPO in the area. However, as of the time this report was filed, no response had been received.
Last year, a group of LCCN women travelling to the Demsa annual convention was involved in an accident at the same location, which resulted in multiple fatalities.
