Trump Orders Federal Agencies to Cease All Use of Anthropic Tech.

President Donald Trump has directed all federal agencies to stop using Anthropic's AI technology, citing national security concerns. This decision follows a standoff between the Pentagon and Anthropic over the company's refusal to allow unrestricted military use of its AI models. Trump announced the move on Truth Social, stating that Anthropic's technology would be phased out over six months.

The dispute centers on Anthropic's refusal to agree to the Pentagon's terms, which would allow the military to use its AI for any lawful purpose, including mass domestic surveillance and fully autonomous weapons. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei had maintained that such uses would undermine the Constitution and put civilians at risk.

Trump accused Anthropic of trying to "strong-arm" the Department of War and putting American lives at risk. Amodei, however, stood firm, stating that Anthropic would not knowingly provide a product that puts warfighters and civilians at risk.

The move has significant implications for Anthropic's business, with potential losses of up to $200 million in government contracts. Other AI companies are watching the situation closely, as it may set a precedent for future government contracts.

  British Nigerian boxer and former heavyweight champion,  Anthony Joshua   was involved in a road accident on Monday 29th December along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, Nigeria  Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos commissioner for information, said the crash occurred around the Shagamu interchange area of the highway. He added that the Lagos state government promptly deployed an ambulance to the scene. The Lexus SUV in which the British Nigerian boxer was said to have crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. Two people driving with him in the car died on the spot according to eye witness. AJ was said to have survived with minor injuries.
