A GREATFUL HEART.
In a small village nestled between green hills lived two farmers, Samuel and Daniel. Both owned similar fields, worked equally hard, and depended on the same rains.
Samuel was never satisfied. When the sun shone, he complained it was too hot. When rain came, he said it was too much. If he harvested ten baskets of corn, he wished for twenty. No matter what he received, he always focused on what he lacked.
Daniel was different. Each morning, he looked at the sky and whispered, "Thank you for another day." He was grateful for the soil beneath his feet, the food on his table, and the family by his side.
One year, a violent storm swept through the village. Crops were damaged, trees uprooted, and many farmers lost much of their harvest.
Samuel sat in despair, cursing his misfortune.
Daniel was saddened too, but he gathered his family and said, "We lost some crops, but we still have each other, our home still stands, and some of the harvest remains. Let us be thankful for what is left."
The villagers noticed Daniel's attitude. Inspired by his gratitude, they came together to help one another. They shared seeds, repaired fences, and rebuilt damaged fields.
By the following season, Daniel's farm flourished more than ever. Not because he was luckier, but because his grateful spirit had attracted friendship, support, and hope.
Years later, a traveler asked him, "What is the secret of your happiness?"
Daniel smiled and replied, "A thankful heart sees abundance where others see scarcity."
The traveler never forgot those words.
Moral:
A grateful heart does not ignore life's challenges. It chooses to appreciate life's blessings, and in doing so, finds joy, strength, and abundance even in difficult times.
