A TRUE FRIEND.
In a small village lived two boys, Tunde and Emeka. They had been friends since childhood and spent almost every day together.
One year, heavy rains flooded the village. The river overflowed, destroying farms and cutting off roads. Many families struggled to find food.
Emeka's father fell ill during this difficult time, and Emeka had to stop attending school to help his family. Some of his classmates avoided him because he could no longer afford books or new clothes.
But Tunde remained by his side. Every evening, he shared his notes, helped Emeka with lessons, and encouraged him not to give up on his dreams.
Months later, Emeka returned to school and worked hard. With Tunde's support, he passed his exams with excellent grades.
Years later, Emeka became a successful engineer. When people asked how he achieved so much, he always replied, "I never walked alone. A true friend stood by me when everyone else walked away."
Moral: A true friend is not the one who stays only during good times, but the one who remains loyal during life's storms.
