American Proverb Of The Day - SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE.
"Slow and steady wins the race."
This well-known American proverb teaches that consistent effort over time often leads to success more reliably than bursts of speed followed by giving up.
A Short Story: The Young Farmer
In a small town, two young farmers, Jake and Ben, planted corn on the same day.
Jake worked hard for a week, watering his field from sunrise to sunset. But when he didn't see immediate results, he became discouraged and stopped caring for his crops.
Ben, however, watered his field a little every day. Even when the weather was hot and the work was tiring, he remained faithful to his routine.
Weeks passed. Jake's field became dry and full of weeds. Ben's field grew tall, green, and healthy.
At harvest time, Ben filled several wagons with corn, while Jake had very little to show for his early effort.
As the townspeople admired Ben's success, the old village elder smiled and said, "Slow and steady wins the race."
Moral: Small, consistent actions repeated over time produce greater results than occasional bursts of effort.
